Crystal W. Teller, age 91, a lifelong Ray Township resident, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Oakmont Sterling Assisted Living. Crystal was born June 10, 1924 at the family resident in Ray Township, the daughter of Lewis J. and Bertha (Shields) Wolcott. She married Robert R. Teller on February 12, 1942 at St John Lutheran Church in Romeo. Crystal’s family (Fredrick Wolcott) purchased the Wolcott Mill in 1878 for $3500.00 and her father Lewis and her Uncle William ran the Mill till they sold it to Macomb County Community College in 1967 and then was sold to the Huron-Clinton Metroparks in 1979. Crystal was a life member of the Davis Eastern Star and enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Gaylord. Her hobbies include basket weaving, going to flea markets & garage sales, fishing, and going antiquing. Crystal is survived by her five children: Robert L. (Martha) Teller of Armada, Patricia (Quentin) Levitte of Caro, MI., John (Tammy) Teller of Shelby Twp., and William (Sue) & Matthew (Chris) Teller both of Ray Twp. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Crystal was preceded in death by her husband Robert R. and brother Fred Wolcott. Funeral services will take place on Saturday September 5 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Eric Majeski of Grace Lutheran Fellowship of Bruce Township officiating. Burial will follow in the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 and on Saturday from 9 AM till the time of the service at 11 AM.
