Gertrude "Gertie" Tucker

Gertrude “Gertie” Tucker, age 76, of Romeo, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Gertie was born October 31, 1937 in Utica, MI, the daughter of Lawrence and Catherine (Christian) Rinke. She married Richard Tucker on May 25, 1957 at St. Clement Catholic Church in Romeo. She was a secretary for Fisher Body at the Tech Center in Warren and Blue Water Trucking. Gertie was active with the Romeo Merry Makers 4-H club in Macomb County, member of St. Clement Catholic Church.  Her hobbies included all types of crafts and sewing. Gertie is survived by her husband Richard, children: Richard (Tina) Tucker and Robert Tucker, both of Romeo and Deanna (George) Clark of Memphis. She is also survived by six grandchildren (Jessika, Erika, Halston, Georgie, Joey & Bradley) and siblings: Lawrence Rinke of Sterling Heights, Ray (Jill) Rinke of Virginia, Donna Fettig (Dick) of Naples, Florida.   Gertie was preceded in death by her brother Pat Rinke, sister Jeannette Hare and her parents Lawrence & Catherine Rinke. In lei of floral arrangements, donations may also be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in her memory. Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo, Michigan. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-8 and on Thursday from 1-8, with a rosary by the Knights of Columbus, Council # 7018 at 7 PM.  Funeral services will take place on Friday at 10 AM at St. Clement Catholic Church of Romeo, with burial to follow in the Bruce Armada Cemetery.
