William D. Richardson

August 22, 1942 — September 14, 2017

William (Bill) D. Richardson, age 75, an 18 year resident of Gladwin and formerly from Warren passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 14, 2017. William was born on August 22, 1942 the son of William and Roberta (Schroeder). He graduated from Southfield High School. William was an avid golfer and softball player. He loved traveling, boating, and being with his family. William was with the Warren Police Department for 30 years, retired as the Deputy Chief of Police and was invited to attend the FBI Academy. He also worked for 12 years as a golf ranger at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. William is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Carolyn. Children Jodi (Mike) Halloran, Chad (Anna) Richardson, and Dale (Andrea) Richardson. Siblings; Helena (Dave) Smith, Bob (Lee) Richardson, and Frank (Carol) Richardson. Grandchildren; Alyssa, Bryan, Zach, Jake, Maia, Kari, Ellen, Hannah, Fiona, Finn, and George. Also, many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will take place at 11304 E. 14 mile road, Warren Michigan on Friday October 13, 2017 at 6:00 PM with visitation starting at 4:30 PM. Services will be officiated by Father Jerry Kessell and dinner will follow the service.
