Yvonne Niedieck passed away peacefully surrounded by family. She was 90. Yvonne was a wife, mother, sister, aunt and best friend. She had a good life with her husband of 68 years, Dick. Together they had 3 children, one daughter-in-law, plus 4 (successive) four-legged, furry children. In her life, Yvonne was a girl scout leader, cub scout den mother, room mom, cake decorator, upholsterer, bookkeeper and boater. She loved spending time at their place in the Thumb where they met many new friends. She and Dick were also fortunate to travel to many places around the world. They always came back with stories of the interesting things they saw and wonderful people they met. She also took many driving vacations with her daughter, including several Camp Jeeps (although she never did go 4 Wheeling!). One of her favorite locations was Amish country in Ohio; it was pretty but the good local food was an equal draw. She was always up for going out to eat and hosting annual Superbowl and occasional “Progressive” parties with their large circle of lively friends. She never met a cookie she didn’t like. Yvonne loved watching the birds and wildlife and was concerned about the environment. She was a wonderful person and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
