Carl F. Weidner, better known as "Pete" and a resident of Almont since 1977 passed away at his house surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the age of 71. Pete was born in Mt Clemens on February 22, 1950, the son of George and Yvonne (Parenteau) Weidner. He married Linda Johnson on July 10, 1969 at St John’s Lutheran Church in Romeo. Pete worked for 30 years at the Ford Motor Proving Grounds in skilled trades and Ground Maintenance. When not working, Pete was well known on the golf courses in the area, loved to go to casinos, but was known mostly for his sense of humor, and the many friends that he had. He will be missed by all. Pete is survived by his wife, Linda, and his children: Ron of TX., Peni (Ken) Appelt of St Clair Shores, Eric ( Lisa) of Allenton, & John (Lisa) of Port Huron. Grandchildren include Emily, Kyle, Samantha, Leo, Jack, & Isabella. Surviving siblings include Yvonne Childs, JoAnn Zurek, Sam Weidner, Ed Weidner, Marion Kramer, Max (Lorie) Weidner, Mary Weidner, & Doris Highland. Pete was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Andrea Walters, Bill Weidner, Karen Tucker, & Barbara Corfield. Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 12 from 11 AM – 3 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo.
