Carol M. Voorhees

Carol M. Voorhees, age 82, a lifelong resident of Romeo, Michigan, passed away Sunday February 22, 2026 at home. Carol was born April 18, 1943 in Romeo, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph and Harriet (Bentley) Gould.

Carol was a graduate of Romeo High School class of 1961, Carol married John Voorhees in Houghton, Michigan in 1965. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage until John’s passing in 2017. Over the years, Carol worked as a caretaker, as well as working at the Harvest Table Restaurant. She also spent a lot of time at the Senior Center, and enjoyed Friday nights at Wendy’s, hanging out with her group of friends. Carol absolutely loved raising her kids, enjoying every milestone as they grew up. She loved to joke, and was always ready to make someone smile.

Carol is survived by her sons, Steven Voorhees of Richmond, and Greg Voorhees of Romeo, sister Nancy (Leroy) Schovan, two nieces, grandchildren, Ashley (Dylan) Page of Grand Blanc, Charles (Alexis) Voorhees of New Haven, and Sarah (Cody) Pepperday of Pennsylvania, as well as great-grandchildren, Everleigh, Amelia, and Charlotte.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 27, 2026 from 11:00AM – 4:00 PM with a Funeral Service beginning at 4:00 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
