Charles J. Donoso

Charles John Donoso, affectionately known as “Chuck” or “Chief,” passed away at home on August 22, 2025, in Romeo, Michigan, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. He was 87 years old.

Born on June 19, 1938, in Lilly, Pennsylvania, Charles was the son of the late Angeline (Rimini) and Severino Donoso. He is survived by Volena, his devoted wife of 67 years, and their three daughters: Pamela (Lonnee) Stiers, Kimberly (Brian) Rowley, and Terry (Mark) Wozniak.

A beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Chuck’s legacy lives on through his nine grandchildren: Michael (Tricia), Steven (Shawna), Jessica, Heather, Darren (Cadie), Stephanie, Corey (Breanne), Brandon, and Remie; and his nineteen cherished great-grandchildren.

Chuck began his career in the printing industry at the age of 19, working first at Typocraft and later at Graphics East. His work ethic and dedication were admired by many throughout his long career.

Outside of work, Chuck enjoyed bowling, playing poker, and most of all, spending time with his family. He was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and deep love for those around him. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his brothers Anton and Severino Donoso and his in-laws Blanche and James Sells.

The family honors Chuck’s memory with gratitude for a life well lived and a love that will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 1-7 pm, at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo. There will be a memory share and prayer beginning at 6 pm
