Clyde Gene Cushingberry II, a lifelong resident of Romeo, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan after a battle with cancer.
Clyde was born born May 19, 1980 in Mt Clemens Michigan, the son of Clyde Cushingberry Sr., and the late Pamela Cushingberry. (Bell).
He attended Romeo High Community Schools, where he played basketball and on the AAU basketball team with Pontiac Corbra’s with Craig Carington.
He also had several jobs including working for his parents company, “B. C. Security”, with his last job doing landscaping. He loved to cook, play cards, karoke, and family game night.
Boonk leaves to mourn his father Clyde Cushingberry of Romeo, his sister Tonya Evette Cushingberry of Romeo and his nephew Jordan Cushingberry also of Romeo. Preceding him in death was his mother Pamela, grandparents Hershel Raye and Minnie Cushingberry and Pam’s parents Herman and Della Bell. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins survive.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 3 at 11 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Dr Brock officiating. Burial will be by his mother at McCafferety Cemetery in Bruce Township. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-6 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Immediately following the burial at McCafferety Cemetery in Bruce Township, the family invites everyone for a funeral luncheon at the VFW Hall Post # 2052 on McVicar Street in Bruce Township.
