David J. Andrews

David J. Andrews, age 72, a five year resident of Almont, and formerly from Ferndale, passed away at home on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at McLaren Lapeer Hospital. David was born February 10, 1954 in Ferndale, Michigan, the son of George and Lenore (Cuthberson) Andrews. Dave was a 1972 graduate of Ferndale High School. On July 2, 1986 he married Maureen Carnegie in the City of Hazel Park. Dave worked for the Ferndale DPW for 25 years. He enjoyed woodworking, motorcycles, and loved camping a lot.

Dave is survived by his wife, Maureen of Almont, daughters, Jenifer (Jayson) Kakos of Texas, and Amy (Mark) McCormic of Grand Rapids, siblings Ken (Shirley) Andrews, and Yvonne Andrews, and grandchildren, Rachel, Jacob, Nicholas, Keaton, Audrey, Garrett, and Jase.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
