Donald William Spanske, passed away on September 20, 2025 at his home in Bruce Township, Michigan.
Don served in the Navy for 2 years 1955-57 on the USS Smalley. Coming home Don worked as a construction worker until he began an apprenticeship as a carpenter for skilled trades with the UAW. Shortly afterwards he was hired in at the Chrysler Sterling Stamping Plant, where he retired after working for 30 years. Don loved going up to the hunting cabin, he loved to hunt, fish, and told jokes to whoever listened.
Don is survived by his loving wife Stella Spanske of 66 years. Roger Spanske, Denise (Dave) Bull, Patty (Larry) Jaroslawski, Allen Spanske, Nancy Sorrensen. Also his 12 Grandchildren, and 7 Great Grandchildren. Sister; Charlotte Cantwell and brother Jerry Spanske.
Don is preceded in death by his parents John and Bernice, and his son John Spanske.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 3-8 pm at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 10 am, instate at 9:30, at St. Clement Catholic Church (341 S. Main St. Romeo, MI)
