Edward "Chuck" Charles Apley II

Edward "Chuck" Charles Apley II, age 58, of Armada, Michigan, passed away on September 22, 2026. Born on August 14, 1968, to Edward and Lynda Apley, Chuck lived a life marked by strength, dedication, and a deep love for his family, friends, and passions.

A proud veteran, Chuck served his country in the United States Army, embodying a lifelong commitment to duty and honor. That natural sense of responsibility carried over into every aspect of his life; he was a born leader, a caring and devoted husband, and a loving father who anchored his family and tolerated the numerous animals that they brought home unexpectedly and without permission.

Away from his duties, Chuck found joy and freedom with his hands on tools and the open road. He could often be found working meticulously on his classic 1968 Camaro, a true labor of love that reflected his patience and appreciation for craftsmanship. He especially enjoyed sharing his knowledge and handing down his skills, taking great pride in teaching his sons-in-law the ins and outs of power tools and his daughters how to change a flat tire. Though he has now retired his Harley, the memories of the open road and the roar of the engine remain a testament to his adventurous spirit.

Chuck is survived by his loving spouse, Lori Apley; his children, Loran (husband Ryan Stevens) and Aren (husband Steven Gantzer); and his father, Edward Apley. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lynda Apley, and his brother, Thomas Apley. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, guidance, and love that will be forever cherished by his family.

Honoring his wishes, there will not be a traditional funeral service. The family is planning a celebration of life memorial service to be determined at a later date.
