Eleanor Frances Meyers

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Eleanor Frances Meyers (nee Padberg),89, on May 4, 2025.

Eleanor was born on November 1, 1935in Detroit, MIto Bernard and Eleanor Padberg. She graduated from Denby High School in 1953.

She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Eugene Meyers on February 27, 1954. Together they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage until his death in 2009. She was a very loving mother to her 5 children; Kathryn Hess (Kevin), Karen Robertson, Kimberly Cady, Kristine Wilhelm and Kraig Meyers (Theresa). She was a proud grandmother to Lauren (Jared), Jamie (Kwadwo), Thomas (Lori), Kristen (Sam), James Jr., Stephen (Alison), Kelli (Luke), Amie (Rick), Dawn (James) and Julie. She also had 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Eleanor was predeceased by her brother, James Padberg and her sister, Marilyn Parrish and sons-in-law James Cady, John Robertsonand Douglas Wilhelm.

Eleanor spent her working years in the medical/dental profession as an office manager for 25+ years before retiring. During her free time, she enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and visiting with family and friends. She was loved and valued very much and will be deeply missed.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Shelby Gardens, 50265 Van Dyke Ave., Shelby Twp., Michigan.
