Emily L. Lewis

Emily L. Lewis, age 35, of Romeo, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Corewell Health Beaumont Hospital in Troy.

Born on September 29, 1990, in Rochester, Michigan, Emily was the cherished daughter of Kenneth C. and Melody D. (Logan) Reichenbach. A lifelong Romeo resident, she graduated from Romeo High School with the Class of 2009. During her school years, she enjoyed playing sports, where her determination, team spirit, and encouraging nature reflected the qualities that would define her throughout her life.

Emily lived a life centered on love, faith, and family. More than any accomplishment, she treasured being a wife and mother. Her husband, Brandon, was her partner and best friend, and her children, Charlie and Layla, were the light of her life. She poured her heart into raising them, celebrating every milestone, creating family traditions, and filling their home with laughter, warmth, and unconditional love. Her greatest happiness came from simply being together with the people she loved most.

Emily found joy in life's simple blessings. She loved tending her garden, preparing meals that brought family together around the table, camping under the stars, capturing precious moments through her camera lens, and coaching basketball, where she encouraged young athletes to believe in themselves both on and off the court. Whether she was cheering from the sidelines, lending a helping hand, or offering words of encouragement, Emily had a gift for making others feel valued and loved.

She shared an especially close bond with her nieces and nephews, delighting in every hug, every laugh, and every opportunity to make memories with them. She was the kind of aunt who was always ready to play, listen, encourage, and love without reservation. She looked forward with great joy to welcoming another niece or nephew later this year.

Emily's faith was the foundation of her life and attended Grace Lutheran Church. She lived with compassion, humility, and a servant's heart. She quietly demonstrated Christ's love through acts of kindness, generosity, and genuine care for others. Those who knew Emily will remember her beautiful smile, her gentle spirit, her unwavering strength, and her ability to make everyone around her feel at home.

Emily is survived by her loving parents, Ken and Mel Reichenbach of Romeo; her devoted husband, Brandon Lewis of Romeo; her beloved children, Charlie and Layla; her brothers, Kyle (Nicole) Reichenbach of Leonard and Travis (Taylor) Reichenbach of Berkley; her parents-in-law, Mike and Lisa Mirafelix; her nieces and nephews, Kinsley Reichenbach, Walker Reichenbach, Blake Reichenbach, and a baby Reichenbach expected in November 2026; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends, and members of her church family, all of whom were blessed to know and love her.

Though her time on earth was far too short, Emily leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She taught those around her the importance of putting others first, finding joy in everyday moments, and loving deeply and unconditionally. Her kindness, gentle heart, infectious smile, and unwavering devotion to her family will never be forgotten. While she will be profoundly missed every day, those who loved her find comfort in knowing that her faith has become sight and that her love will remain with them always.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., also at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
