Florence C. Marth

July 10, 1949 — January 18, 2022

Florence Cecilia Marth, age 72, passed away on January 18, 2022 at Medilodge of Rochester

Hills. Florence was born on July 10, 1949 in Detroit, Mi.

How do you describe a person who is survived by a whole town? That is how it was with

Flo. She was born in Detroit but lived most of her life in Romeo where everyone knew her

name. There were no strangers to Flo, only friends she hadn’t met yet. She would help

anyone with anything, and give all she had, if you asked.

That was evident from her time (over 30 years) with the Sharing Tree program where she

helped with collecting, sorting, and distributing of Christmas spirit to families around

Romeo. That is where she met Deanne one of her lifetime sisters. She became an instant

member of the whole Pribish/DePyper family and when they moved to VA, Flo said she had

a second home in Virginia and went to visit whenever she could but stayed in Romeo to take

care of Joann.

Flo was separated from her biological family early and came to live with the Jaynes family

(Joanne and Bob) on Morton Street. She loved her two new brothers Rob and Mike (Joyce)

and her niece Ashley (Mike) and nephew (Michael). She lived with the Jaynes family for

decades, but many of us in town called Flo family.

Flo was a lifetime member of the Disco VFW post#4659.

Flo was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was so proud to belong to her church

family.

Flo is survived by her chosen mom, Bertha (Joanne) Jaynes, Aunts Bev, and Cookie

Brother Mike (Joyce) Jaynes, niece Ashley (Mike) and nephew Michael, 3 great nieces and a

great nephew

Lifetime sister: Deanne (Tom) DePyper, Judy, and family

Lifetime sister: Elizabeth (Harry) Davis, and family

Her Wendy’s family, Four Corners Restaurant family,

and many others we have not mentioned but were blessed to call her family.

Flo is predeceased by her Biological parents Joseph and Alma (Schwenk) Marth

Her chosen dad, Bob Jaynes, brother Rob Jaynes, Herschel and Chauncey
