Gerald Otto Bittner

Gerald Otto Bittner, age 79, a lifelong Romeo resident, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 at The Orchards of Armada. Gerald was born September 4, 1945 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, the son of Otto and Mary Caroline (Bauer) Bittner. Gerald was a 1963 graduate of Romeo High School. He then worked for General Motors for 35 years before retiring. After retirement, Gerald worked many contract jobs. On February 4, 2004, Gerald married LaNette (Stagg) Kolakowski in Romeo, Michigan. In his free time, Gerald enjoyed working on cars; he was a true car enthusiast.
Gerald is survived by his wife LaNette of Bruce Township, children, Shannon Anspaugh of Sterling Heights, Marc Bittner, of California, Bethanie (Dominic) Marzolino of Florida, and Randall (Michelle) Kolakowski, of South Lyon, sister Linda (Cliff) Finkle of Bruce Township, and grandchildren, Bradly Anspaugh, Breanna Kolakowski, Estelle Marzolino, and Roslyn Marzolino.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM, with the Funeral Service being held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00AM, at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
