Guenter Jablonowski, age 86, of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away peacefully July 1, 2025, at American House Sterling Meadows. Guenter was born 1939 in East Prussia. After WW2 Guenter lived outside of Bremen, West Germany. He went through an extensive apprenticeship learning many facets of manufacturing. In 1958 he came to America. Worked as a machinist, later becoming a tool designer. He wrote a lot of code customizing AutoCAD for die design tablets. His work was accurate, thoughtful and excellent. He worked the bulk of his career at Circle Engineering. His hobbies were boating, fishing, motorcycling, CB radios, reading, biking, walking and making his own greeting cards.

Guenter cherished his mother, son, son's wife (his favorite daughter in-law), grandsons and great grandchildren. He had many close friends: Martha, Nancy, Gina, Linda, Yash, Billy and many Facebook friends.

Guenter was preceded in death by his father at 7 months old, a brother Bernd Schimanski, and many years later by his mother. He is survived by his son Hans (Jadwiga), grandsons Christopher (Ashley) and Matthew, great grandchildren Sophie and Jude, also cousins and extended family here and in Germany.

Guenter will be remembered for his kindness, unwavering integrity, and his love for his family. He would tell stories of his life and would always try to get a chuckle or smile from everyone. He was always helpful.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 5 PM with Pastor Mike Phillips officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 3 to 5 PM.
