Jack Phillion, age 61, of Shelby Township, Michigan passed away on May 18th, 2023. He was born April 22, 1962, in Grand Rapids Michigan to Bruce and Mary Lou Phillion.
Jack grew up in Newaygo Michigan where he attended and graduated from Newaygo High School. He then attended Michigan Tech University earning his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering in 1985. After completion, Jack then attended Central Michigan University where he earned his master’s also in mechanical engineering. Jack also served in the United States Army from 1983 until 1992.
Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an avid fan of all sports, including Nascar and hockey. Jack loved sports cars as well as his family.
Jack is survived by his wife of 25 years, Tracy Phillion; his daughters, Kristen (Timothy) Failer of Clarkston, Michigan, Alexi (Jacob) Bolling of Shelby Township, Michigan; grandchildren, Owen Bolling, Penelope Failer, Adin Bolling, and Timothy Failer, and sister, Barbara Way. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceeded in death by his parents; Bruce and Mary Lou Phillion, eldest brother James Phillion; twin brother Robert Phillion; brother-in-law Gary Way; and granddaughter Sloane Failer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 23, 2023, from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo Michigan.
