Jack Albert Latcha, age 80, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication, and unwavering devotion to those he loved most.

For 46 years, Jack proudly called Romeo, Michigan, his home. He was a familiar face in the community and built lasting friendships through his kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.

Jack proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard, exemplifying the same sense of duty and commitment that would define the rest of his life. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long and successful career with General Motors, where he was a dedicated employee for many years before retiring. His strong work ethic, reliability, and integrity earned the respect of both his coworkers and friends.

Jack served honorably as a firefighter with the Bruce Township Fire Department for 43 years. Throughout his decades of service, he demonstrated courage, compassion, and selflessness, always answering the call to protect his neighbors. His commitment to public service earned the respect and admiration of fellow firefighters and community members alike.

Above all else, Jack's greatest joy in life was his family. He was married to his wife Mary for 57 wonderful years of adventure and joy. He was a loving father of 3, Michael Latcha (Dawn), Alan Latcha (Mary), and Jeanette Ross (Joe), whose guidance, strength, and unconditional support shaped the lives of his children. Nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his grandchildren, celebrating their accomplishments, sharing stories, and creating memories they will cherish forever. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and they were the center of his world.

Jack will be remembered for his quick witted humor, generous heart, dependable nature, and the countless lives he touched through both his service and his love. His legacy lives on in his children, grandchildren, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
