Jason John “Jay” Vick, 46, of Armada, Michigan, passed away on May 28, 2026. Born on December 9, 1979, Jay was humble, inviting, and deeply loved by everyone who knew him.
Jay was a quiet observer whose character shined once his guard was down, and he had a gift for making those around him feel comfortable and accepted. He loved Euchre, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors, and he was always patient about reteaching games to friends and sharing the things he enjoyed. Methodical and creative, Jay often filled a small notepad with ideas and believed that all it took was one to succeed.
Jay was endlessly proud of his children. He loved watching McKayla ride horseback and took great joy in seeing Liam’s passion for sports, cheering them on in the things they loved. His face lit up when he talked about them, and being their dad was one of his greatest sources of pride.
Karin was his best friend and the love of his life. Jay dreamed of living out in the country with her, and that dream took root when they built their home together in Armada. He treasured their time there—date nights, curling up on the couch, and weekends spent around bonfires on their property, simply enjoying being together.
Above all, Jay was a supportive husband, a loving father, and an amazing friend who made those around him better just by being part of his inner circle.
Jay is survived by his wife, Karin; his daughter, McKayla; his son, Liam; his mother, Jody (Larry); his father, Gary (Linda), as well as extended family and many dear friends who will miss him deeply.
In lieu of flowers, friends have asked for donations to be made for the Vick family. Thank you
