Jeffrey T. Hayes

Jeffrey T. Hayes, age 67, a lifelong resident of Centerline, Michigan, passed away Tuesday August 4, 2026 at Henry Ford Warren Hospital. Jeffrey was born December 28, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Edward N. and Delphine (Ereaux) Hayes. Jeffrey graduated Class of 1977 from St. Clement Catholic School of Centerline. He then graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree.

Jeffrey started his working life with Harmony House and later Peaches Records. After he earned his Bachelor’s Degree, he began his career as an IT Technician. Jeff loved music and enjoyed playing guitar and frequenting live shows. He was a sports fan as well, especially the Detroit Tigers. Jeff also liked going for walks, running, and challenging his brothers and friends with TV and music trivia.

Jeffrey is survived by his brothers, Michael Hayes (Joanne Caruana) of Romeo and Clayton (Lorraine) Hayes of Washington, nieces and nephews, Josh (Anne) Hayes of Washington DC, Zach of Washington, Clayton (Caitlin) Hayes of Charleston South Carolina, Phillip (Amanda) Hayes of Macomb, Alyssa (Jeff Postinger) Hayes of Royal Oak, Shaun Hayes of Ferndale, Carson (Alexa) Hayes of Romeo, and Evan (Nicole) Hayes of Centerline, as well as 9 great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister Cindy Richards.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 11:15 am., at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo (11280 32 mi. rd.)  Visitation will be from 10-12pm.
