Joan K. Dupree

  Joan K. Dupree, age 74, a 26 year resident of Bruce Township, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. Joan was born October 10, 1951, the daughter of Otto and Loretta (Hines) Hartman. Joan was a 1969 graduate of East Detroit High School. On June 28, 1969, she married Vester H. “Don” Dupree at St Peters Church in East Detroit. Joan had a long 25 year career as a Bookkeeper for Pomery Investments. Joan enjoyed taking care of her kids and spending time with her family, traveling on motorcycles, and loved seeing nature. Joan also loved serving at Stoney Church and was involved in ministries for over 26 years. She loved God and people.

Joan is survived by her husband, Don, of Bruce Township, children, Rob of Shelby Township, and Kim (Mike) Campbell of Almont, and grandchildren, Gavin, Melina, Steele, Cross, Sully, and Lakelyn.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Stoney Church (11711 26 Mile Rd, Washington, MI 48094).
