Marc J. Mikula, age 78 a longtime Romeo resident passed away on March 5, 2025 at his home. Marc was born on January 1, 1947 in Detroit. The son of Joseph and Anita Mikula Grosso (Juan). Marc was a graduate of Utica High School the class of 1965. He spent many years working for the Ford Motor Company before retiring after a 36 year career as a Millwright.
When he was a kid he enjoyed raising pigeons and rabbits, he continued to raise them later in his life. He was very talented, smart, a true character full of charisma. He loved the “art of the deal”. Marc enjoyed hunting and fishing. Earlier in life he took yearly fishing trips to Canada with his sons and many trips out west to Wyoming to hunt deer and Antelope. In his later years hunting took him to Africa where he was able to hunt many large animals. Marc enjoyed having a beer with friends along with telling a good story and the occasional prank.
Marc is survived by his wife Renee of Romeo. Children; Marc of Alabama, Christine (Ron) White of Romeo, John of Romeo and Joseph of Florida along with their mother Jackie of Florida. Two step children Neil and Margaux Haarer. Brother Jim (Kathy) Mikula of Romeo. One niece Brianne (Stefan) Scharnhorst and one nephew James Mikula. Grandchildren; Trisha (Adam) Nester, Anita, Lainey, Chelsea, and Hannah. Great Grandchildren; Snow, Jade, Evelyn, Graison, Madeline, and Stella. He was predeceased by his grandson Logan and granddaughter Jacqueline.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 7 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Mike Gawlowski officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 2-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
