Mary J. Bentley

Mary J. Bentley, beloved mother, grandma, great-grandma, and aunt passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025 at the age of 99. She was a longtime resident of Romeo, Michigan. Born on December 18, 1925 to Frank and Edra Hamilton, she married Frederick (Ted) Bentley on January 11, 1947. They had four children, Linda, Jane, Jean, and Ted.
Mary worked at National Twist Drill in Rochester, Michigan, for 32 years. After retirement, she spent much of her time up north in West Branch and in Florida, but Romeo was her home. She loved to play Skip-bo with anyone that would play. She loved her family and spending time with them. Mary loved to watch horseracing and ice skating on television.
Mary was a loving, sweet, and quiet lady. She lived a long, incredible life. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Jane Cox, eight grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and nieces. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, children Linda, Jean, and Ted, and one grandson.
Funeral services will be private.
