Michael Lee Ebeling

Michael Lee Ebeling of Washington Township passed away on June 25th, 2026 at 77 years old. He was born in Detroit January 12, 1949 and moved to Romeo in 1955.

He graduated from Romeo High School in 1967 where he was on the football team and ran track. After he graduated he did an apprenticeship in Masonry and joined the Ebeling/Hicks Construction Company as a bricklayer. When construction slowed in the early 80’s he accepted a job in Florida eventually starting his own business and was known for his glass block installation.

In 2021 after living in Florida for 38 years he came back home to the Romeo area to be closer to family.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Florence Ebeling, his sister Linda Jean Ebeling and nephew Cal Rymill.

He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Jessica (Mark) Short. Siblings Ray (Kathy) Hicks, MaryAnn (Wayne) Mueller, Thomas (Lynda) Ebeling, Kathy Leroy and Shirley (Richard) Rymill, his 3 grandchildren Hope, Eleanor and Theodore Short, 13 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews.

Michael enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends. A celebration of life is planned for early August.
