Michael Knust

Michael C. Knust, age 69, a lifelong Romeo resident, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 at home. Michael was born January 9, 1955 in Almont, Michigan, the son of Lynn and Ester (Woodman) Knust. He was a 1974 graduate of Romeo High School. After graduation, Michael worked for 32 years for GM, retiring as a Lineman in 2007. In 2005, he married Virginia (Buck). Michael loved farming, four-wheeling, and elk hunts, as well as puzzles, reading, and classic country music. He also had a love for sports, especially the Detroit teams.

Michael is survived by his children, Michael (Rachel) Knust of Shelby Township, and Amanda Knust of Washington Township, siblings, Lynn Knust Jr of Peck, Rich (Kathy) Knust of Yale, and Andrea (John) Buczko of Washington, and grandchildren Kendall Switzer and Michael Switzer. He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Knust, in 2021.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
