Patrick A. McEvoy

Patrick Allen McEvoy was a caring husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend. He left this world on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the age of 81.

Patrick was born in Dearborn, Michigan, on February 21, 1945 to Wilson and Marjorie McEvoy. Patrick graduated from Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn, Michigan, then enlisted in the United States Navy. Patrick remained in the Navy as a flight engineer for four years, in which he served two tours to Vietnam. He had two children, the late Scott McEvoy and Stacey (Daniel) Brown, before marrying the love of his life, Donalda McEvoy. Donalda had three daughters prior to their marriage; Paula Fillbrook, Kimberly (Chuck) Schneider and Kelly (Philip) Zimmer. Between Patrick and Donalda, they share 8 grandchildren, Angel (Robert) Philipp, Branden (Jennifer) Fillbrook, Kyle Lambie, Dillon Gottschalk, PJ Zimmer (Lauren), Jacob Brown, Matthew Brown, and Ty Zimmer, as well as 3 great-grandchildren, Ashton Grassel, Penelope Fillbrook, and Scarlett Fillbrook, as well as his brother Thomas (Dorothy) McEvoy.

Patrick and Donalda moved to Glen Arbor shortly after their marriage on July 28, 1990 where they owned and operated Tri-Sam Molds and Machine Shop. Patrick and Donalda resided there for 14 years before returning to Washington, Michigan to be closer to family and enjoy the grandchildren. They loved spending time camping with the grandchildren, as well as watching all their sporting activities. Patrick also enjoyed golfing, being a licensed pilot for hot air balloons and airplanes, as well as his dog, Lucy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Scott.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with funeral services being held on Thursday July 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home (11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo, Michigan), with military honors and burial being held at Romeo Cemetery following services.
