Peggy S. McInnis

Peggy S. McInnis, age 89, a longtime resident of Chesterfield, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026 at her apartment in Romeo. Peggy was born November 28, 1936 in Buchanan, Virginia, the daughter of Olaf and Bessie Bartley.

Peggy graduated from Denby High School in Detroit. She worked as a clerk typist for Detroit Edison before marrying William K. McInnis in 1958. Peggy was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grand children. She loved the flea markets, collecting and selling antiques, as well as playing Bingo and Pinochle with her 2 brothers and niece. She had 2 dogs Jack and Duffy who she adored.

Peggy is survived by her children, Brian (Adrianna) McInnis of Centreville, Virginia, Denise (Kevin) Schutt of Armada, Aaron (Amanda) McInnis of Sterling Heights, and Lisa McInnis of Fraser, brothers, Frank Bartley, John (Ted) Bartley, and Rex Bartley, as well as 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, William K. McInnis July 12, 2022.

She will be buried at the Davis Cemetery in Ray Twp, MI. A celebration of Life party will be given in her honor at her childhood home in Chesterfield MI in June 2026.
