Rafael Orozco Zepeda , 66, originally from Los Llanitos, Jalisco, Mexico, died on October 10th at his home after many years of suffering from various illnesses due to diabetes. He was born on August 27th, 1958. Son of Ramon Orozco and Rafaela Zepeda.
Rafael leaves behind his wife, Silvia Munguia, and his children, Juan Manuel, Rafael, Luis Noe, Maria Patricia, Leonardo, Saul, and Omar Orozco. He also leaves behind his 16 grandchildren. He was part of a family of 7 sisters and 5 brothers.
He came to Florida at the young age of 14, living most of his life in this country, leaving behind his parents and siblings in Mexico to come to work. He was, in life, a hard-working and simple man who taught us by his example to have the strength to face all his illnesses in a positive way. He never felt defeated by any of his illnesses. He battled diabetes, cancer, kidney failure, 15 years of hemo dialysis, cardiovascular diseases and surgeries, and blood clots. He had an accident where he had his foot reconstructed, leaving him partially disabled.
Rafael was a strong, funny, and positive person. He loved to enjoy a good meal and a good conversation. Because of his joy and charisma, he was well loved by his community and many will miss their grandfather, as they used to call him.
He was the pillar of his family and his departure leaves an abysmal void. We will remember him with much affection and love.
This is not a goodbye, it is a see you soon. We will meet one day in heaven my dear angel.
