Robert W. DeRiemaecker, age 74, a Dryden resident for many years, passed away suddenly at home on May 1, 2024. Robert was born on July 19, 1949, in Mt.Clemens, son of Albert and Gilberte (Dolfen) DeRiemaecker.
Bob is a 30+ year retiree from Ford Motor Company, he retired in 2012. Bob loved being with his family and had a strong faith in God. He also had a love for the outdoors, including camping and fishing that he passed on to his daughters. He had an affinity for M&M’s, especially enjoyed with friends while playing Mexica Train. He is the reigning champ, as he won the last game.
Bob was slow to anger and had a loving servants heart for his family, friends and neighbors. His family will continue his tradition of enjoying time well spent in the Pigeon River Country State Forest, searching for Elk, morels, and that special rock.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Sharry of 48 years, children; Amanda (Rich) Smith (DeRiemaecker), April (Jeff) Shanahan (DeRiemaecker). Sister, Mary Jane (Roger) VanDenabeele. Grandchildren, Bailey (Katie) Rumschlag, Shane Smith, Travis Hathcock, Ashlyn Shanahan.
Preceeded in death by his parents, Albert and Gilberte, brother, Paul DeRiemaecker, and grandson Jayce Shanahan.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Almont Vineyard Church (3835 Van Dyke rd. Almont, MI 48003).
Visitation starting at 5pm, with a service beginning at 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Almont Vineyard Church.
