Sally Jo Hoxsey

Sally Jo Hoxsey, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026 at the age of 81. She was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, to Fred and Dorothy Schmidt.

Sally cherished the simple joys of her life and the treasured time spent with her family. She especially loved watching her grandchildren participate in their sporting activities and was always proud to cheer them on. She also loved watching professional sports, her Detroit Tigers, The Lions, Golf and Tennis. She enjoyed working on puzzles, playing cards, scrapbooking and creating memories that could be treasured for years to come. Sally also loved vacationing in Florida and spending time in Roscommon, Michigan, where she enjoyed making memories with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Goike, her husband, Kenny Goike; and her grandchildren Kenny Paul and Peyten who brought great joy and love to her life. Also, Phil and Roni Hoxsey as well as many nieces and nephews and life long friends.

Sally was preceded in death by her beloved son, Tony Hoxsey; her parents, Fred and Dorothy Schmidt; her brother, Ron Schmidt; and sister-in-law, Carol Schmidt.

Sally will be deeply missed by her friends and family and all who knew and loved her. Her love, laughter and devotion to her family remain in their hearts and in the many memories she leaves behind.
