William E. Murphy

WILLIAM EARL MURPHY September 9, 2007       Mr. William E. Murphy age 85 of Almont passed away Sunday evening at his home.     Earl was born on August 1, 1922 in Hanesville, Louisiana to the late Oliver & Effie (Wade) Murphy. On January 18, 1941, he was united in marriage with the   former Ruby Dixon in Mississippi. Earl was a self-employed        carpenter and had served in the United States Army during WWII.  He was an active member of the North Goodland Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and golfing.     Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Ruby and two      Children, Rudy (Gay) Murphy of Romeo and Willis (Janet) Murphy of Almont. Also surviving are 5  grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Louise  Williams of Texas and Ida Louis Mc,Alaney of Mississippi.     A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M.  Thursday, September 13, 2007 in the Henry Malburg Funeral Home, 11280  32 Mile, Romeo with Reverend Tom Blount          officiating.     Burial will be private at Christian Memorial Culture Center in Rochester Hills.     Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
